By commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Vienna EXPO in 2023, Machiko Hoshina conducted a tea ceremony at teahouse HETEROTOPIA in Schönbrunn Gardens (2023), then coordinated its transfer to Loosdorf Castle. This was engaged in honor of TU Wien's academic project “Learning from Japanese Teahouse (2023)” and ROIP project (www.roip.jp). The tea ceremonies at Exporttag 2024 will be conducted by a team from Japan in the aim of cultural exchange, mutual understanding and to strengthen the friendship between Austria and Japan. Matcha green tea, Japanese sweets are served for tasting while experiencing a traditional serving presentation with hands-on instructions.
